Antique three-drawer small painted chest. It’s very charming with its hand painted florals in a soft gold on a black painted finish. This could be a Pennsylvania Dutch folk art piece. The drawers all work well - the bottom two have been lined with green felt and each drawer has two brass knobs. Wonderful for display or to use for all types of storage – sewing, keepsakes, keys, jewelry, office or notions, etc. Could also be nice to use as part of a coffee bar.
The chest is solid wood, well made and in sturdy condition with a good weight. There are signs of wear and some imperfections as would be fitting an antique piece, but overall it shows nicely and is in ready to use condition. The drawers open easily and are completely removable.
This would be a lovely authentic piece to incorporate into your home decor. It is unique and displays nicely - a sweet conversation piece.
