Vintage White Enamel Bread Box

This is a charming vintage enamelware bread box. It's white with the word BREAD in black lettering on the front. There are two handles that are white with a dark navy color in the middle, two vent holes in the lid, a black Bakelite knob handle and the original label near the bottom. Most of the label is not readable except for the words “Porcelain and Regina”. The bottom has ridges which we assume help keep the bread up off the bottom and therefore fresher. As we were leaving the antique store with this piece, a customer who was walking in pointed to the breadbox and said, I just bought one of those for myself and they really do work – it kept my bread fresh for well over a week!
It's in clean, sturdy condition with some chipping and rust, especially around the edges of the lid and on the inside of the box. This gives it a charming, vintage farmhouse appeal. Please see photos.
Measurements:
14 ½ inches long handle to handle
9 ½ inches wide
Approximately 11 inches tall not including the handle on lid
*Vintage pieces will show signs of wear due to their use and age. They are not perfect but we hope you will enjoy their lovely character
