Charming vintage brass carriage clock made in Japan by Linden. Lovely mantle clock design with a carrying loop on top and a very decorative face with Roman Numerals. The gold face has embossed gold scrolls and leaves. A gold circle at the top reads "Tempus Fugite" (Time Flies). The inner circle that holds the numbers is silver with black Roman Numerals and black decorative hands tipped in green. The top of each numeral is also tipped in green.
The clock is battery operated with a quartz movement and has a gold alarm hand and gold second hand that ticks. The clock and alarm works and is marked "Japan" on the bottom of the face and on the back. It takes one double AA battery.
There is very little wear - no dents or cracks. The door for the battery compartment is missing. This pretty piece would be a nice addition to a clock collection or as part of a vintage vingnette.
