Very sweet vintage or antique silver-plated server with glass liner and a footed base. It has a curved decorative handle, a softly scalloped top edge and a hinged lid. It sits on four curved feet. This is generally referred to as a mustard pot but could be used for any condiment. The pretty cobalt blue glass liner is to protect the silver portion from any acid that may be in the condiment and can be removed for cleaning. This pretty piece could also be used as a salt cellar or for a bit of sugar.
This is a lovely example of English silversmithing. It's in wonderful condition with the glass liner intact, the parts are all well attached and it sits flat with no wobble. The hallmark is fairly clear and reads "37263 Silver Plate England".
Nice to add to your fine dining accessories or add to a silver collection.
