Lovely and RARE vintage sculpture of two owls sitting on a stump and branch. It has a wonderful verdigris patina suggesting age and exposure to the elements. This is a very heavy piece even though the tree stump is hollow. This leads us to believe it may be patinated bronze but we can't be sure. One side of the trunk bottom shows more wear than the other side - it is dark and shows some minimal rust.
Owls symbolize wisdom and knowledge making them popular subjects. This piece would be nice on a porch, deck or in a garden. It's perfectly aged, has lots of detail and is so interesting.
