Charming large vintage blue and white porcelain ginger jar with lid, featuring a floral and scroll motif with hearts surrounding the upper rim. The jar has a round (often referred to as “melon”) form topped by a lid with a teardrop finial. Perfect for adding a touch of timeless chinoiserie style to your home décor, whether displayed on its own, as part of a blue-and-white collection, or used to hold dried or faux flowers.
The jar is clean inside and out and in very good condition. We have not been able to detect any chips or cracks. The lid has some very minor flaws in the glaze but it still shows beautifully. It is marked on the bottom with a traditional Chinese symbol and the numbers 21.
