Very nice vintage print of a historical scene of three men in period dress before a fireplace. Printed directly onto wood and textured like an oil painting. Lovely muted piece showing reds, browns and creams in a wide gold frame. Frame is in very good condition with tight corners.
In the lower left corner, underneath the frame, it says Louis Wolff and Co Ltd London. The signature of Frank M Bennett 1928 is on the artwork. Frank Moss Bennett was a British painter of portraits, historical scenes and architecture in the early 1900s. Louis Wolff and Co were London printmakers founded in 1878 that produced high quality prints and frames both for the artists themselves and of popular works at the time. They may have made the frame as well as the print.
