Very pretty vintage crystal bowl on an ornate cast metal angel and marble stand. The bowl is round with a scalloped top edge and an etched rose pattern in the crystal. It has its original sticker on the inside of the bowl which reads “24% PbO - Made in Western Germany” - The other portion is barely readable but it seems to say lead crystal. The bowl is attached to the pedestal with a round flat gold color disc.
Wonderful display piece. This would make a nice wedding or housewarming gift – even nice at a wedding to hold wedding cards. A beautiful addition to the center of any table, mantel or lovely as a gift for someone who enjoys or collects vintage crystal. It would be especially pretty in a vintage bath or boudoir holding soaps or jewelry or rolled guest towels.
The piece is in excellent condition with no detectable chips or cracks - its only flaw seems to be a small crack in the metal on the back of the angel. It's sturdy, sits flat and is VERY heavy (7 pounds)
