This is a lovely vintage solid copper mixing bowl in a larger size. These bowls were used for whisking and whipping in baking and pastry making – this one is possibly French as it is large and quite heavy and has a rolled rim with a brass ring for hanging which is riveted to the bowl with a copper rivet. The bracket is slightly loose but the bowl hangs well and shows beautifully.
It has a rounded shape with a rounded bottom which flattens out a tiny bit to give it some stability. It’s in good vintage condition with some age, wear and minor dents. Beautiful large statement bowl that would be a nice addition to a vintage copper collection.
