Very nice and hard to find antique vintage Brass Shaving Mirror with grooming stand. There is a double-sided mirror, one side with magnification, which can be raised or lowered. There is a curved arm which attaches the mirror with thumb nuts to the center column. Another thumb nut can tighten the mirror or it can also be completely removed. There is an open cup and another larger cup with a lid on a horizontal arm. There is another smaller ring on top and a type of slot. We believe all these are for razors, brushes and other grooming tools.
This piece is in good condition - it's sturdy and all parts are well attached. There are definite signs of wear and age on the brass but it still shows well and is functional. Marked on the underside of the base "Japan"
Lovely to use in a powder room, bath, dresser top or vanity table. If nothing else, it could be set out as a conversation piece.
