Very pretty vintage brass box with a lovely raised bamboo style edge on top of the hinged lid. The rectangle box bows out on all four sides making it a unique shape. The original label is on the bottom which reads "Made in India".
It's a nice, collectible box and would make a great pop of shine atop a stack of books or as a small jewelry box. Brass is always in style and wonderful to use in so many ways.
It's in very good condition, sits flat and the lid closes well, howe the lid does not stay open on its own. There is some patina on the brass but overall, it has a nice shine. This is not an overly heavy box but it's made well and the hinges are in good shape.
