Beautiful vintage balance scale features two crystal orbs on an ornate cast brass column with fixed arms and crystal dishes suspended from chains. Teardrop crystal prisms hang from 8 brass petals which are in the middle of the two crystal orbs in the center column. The base is solid white marble with felt on the bottom to protect the tabletop and has the original label that reads “Fine Marble Base – Made in Italy”. One of the dishes also has an original label that reads “Made in Western Germany”.
This decorative piece is in very nice condition with some patina on the center metal and a chip on the outer portion of one of the hanging dishes. It still shows beautifully however and is a large, sturdy and heavy accent piece.
Lovely in a Hollywood Regency style home. It makes a beautiful décor statement with its larger size and glittering crystals.
