Very pretty vintage or antique rolling pin features a center porcelain roller embellished with blue flowers, leaves and vines on a glazed white background. Both ends are finished with turned wood handles. This is a beautiful collectible, representative of an era when rolling pins were both functional and decorative. The porcelain body makes it excellent for rolling pastry dough, while the striking blue-and-white pattern lends itself beautifully to display as a farmhouse or kitchen accent.
It’s in great condition with no detectable chips or cracks in the porcelain. The handles are also in very nice condition with very minor age related wear. The porcelain barrel is not fixed to the handles but rotates freely on a center wooden rod.
Very nice as part of a rolling pin collection or a ribbon could be added and it could be hung as wall décor.
