Very nice antique or vintage stoneware crock with a wire bale swing handle and black wood grip. It is the classic putty color both inside and out and is thick and heavy. Its glaze is still shiny on the outside as well as inside with some blackish marks and a small hairline crack which does not affect its function. The crock has lots of character and is in wonderful condition and still watertight - it holds 7 1/2 cups of liquid.
These crocks are especially nice for holding utensils or flowers from the garden. It can easily stand alone or add to a collection of other crocks. All in all it is in lovely vintage condition with wear appropriate for its age.
Measurements: 7 inches tall 4 1/4 inches across the top 5 inches across the base
