Very pretty vintage solid brass box with a lovely raised rope edge on top of the lid and bottom where the lid meets the base. There are makers marks on both the lid and bottom that reads "39".
It's a nice, collectible box and would make a great pop of shine atop a stack of books or as a small jewelry box. Brass is always in style and wonderful to use in so many ways.
It's in very good condition, has some weight to, sits flat and the lid closes well.
Measurements: 5 1/4 inches long 3 1/2 inches wide 2 inches high with lid in closed position
